Dr Christopher Scales
Primary qualifications: MBChB. BSc (Hons). MRCGP
Having been born and bred in Kent, I moved north for university and graduated from Leeds medical school in 2003. But after meeting a Lancashire lass, I moved to the northwest, married and started a family and now have three beautiful children.
I originally trained to be a surgeon specialising in orthopaedics and trauma but later realising I was happiest working in the community, changed my career to become a GP.
This has given me a wealth of experience in both surgical and medical specialities and I have even spent time in Washington DC USA working for a trauma team. I continue to have an interest in surgery and have a regular minor operating list at the surgery.
Outside of work I try and stay fit running but it’s mainly running after my three children.
